Founded in 2004 by visionary Artistic Director, Alvaro Maldonado, BTI has grown from a small group of dancers from the Washington Metropolitan area, New York and San Francisco, to a full-fledged internationally touring dance company. Over the past five years, BTI organized extensive tours through Latin America, presenting at many of the region’s widely known and respected performing arts centers. The accomplished artists of the company performed to a diverse repertoire of classical and contemporary musical arrangements. Throughout its history, the company has used the power of international exchange programs to expose minority communities to international cultures.
